One of the most important conflicts in recent years is the war between Israel and Iran, and in the last months it has escalated to (super) high levels. At his inauguration, Trump promised peace in Gaza during the first months of his government. However, the war only worsened and there was pressure for Trump to take action against Iran directly. So a missile hit the nuclear facility in Tehran, with consequences that can reshape the geopolitics of the globe.

The short-term consequences of the bombing are the physical damage caused to Iran and the population near the nuclear plant. It can contaminate the region and kill a lot of people even after weeks. In the short term it will also raise tensions in the Middle East and in the world.

In the long term, it will probably worsen the chances of peace in the Middle East, Iran may start taking an even more offensive behavior and opinions of the people in the globe will be affected.

The bombing of Iran may be part of a big group of events in modern history with significant consequences in some years. The future remains uncertain.
