Larissa Hellen da Silva, a 28-year-old Brazilian, has disappeared in Belgium after traveling for a job opportunity as an escort girl. She was found on Wednesday, the 17th of September.

Larissa’s sister, Katlyn Silva, said that the consulate contacted the family on Tuesday, the 16th, to inform them that the young woman had already been found.”The Belgian police found Larissa on the street, only with her passport. We don’t know the exact day yet. She was referred to a hospital as a standard measure.”

According to her family, Larissa had last contacted a cousin on Thursday, the 11th, to ask them to pick her up, because she was hungry and thirsty, and after that she was no longer located.

Larissa’s sister informed that a friend, who offered the job opportunity and lives in Belgium, had been sheltering Larissa in her home since Larissa traveled on September 1st.

Like Larissa, in the pursuit of better living conditions, a plethora of women, who aim to provide for their families, end up accepting these humiliating work conditions.

In her case, she was possibly involved with the Belgian mob and was fortunate to be found alive.
