From Glendale changing its name to Swift City to Tampa’s mayor offering the city’s key and her post for a weekend, we can surely affirm Taylor Swift has vigorously taken over the USA with her ongoing Eras Tour. After having her song rights sold to Shamrock Holdings without her knowledge, the singer and composer started rerecording her first six albums with the tag “Taylor’s Version” alongside to reclaim her work once again. Missing her fans as much as the stage, and wanting to celebrate this new dive into her old eras, Taylor made her comeback to the arenas with three-hour long concerts featuring all of her albums. Not to mention that it’s the first time songs from 2019´s “Lover” and 2020´s “folklore” and “evermore” have been played for the 70.000 + crowd, due to the covid-19 pandemic’s scenario.

One month into the Eras Tour, however, “swifties” all around the world got devastated when various magazines announced the end of the six-year long relationship between Taylor and actor Joe Alwyn. With numerous romantic verses about him and co-written songs with his pseudonym “William Bowery”, the fans decided to mourn their loss, and “Lover” streams went up in a quick scale, with “Cornelia Street” growing by 106%. Paparazzi photos, on the other hand, showed a cheerful and sparkling Taylor going out alone or with friends after the break up. Reasons for the split are still mysterious, although it has been noticed that, after leaving a dinner with the Midnights’ star, some of her celebrity friends, such as Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, have unfollowed Joe on Instagram. The tea is certainly hot!

The fans eventually accepted that Taylor was in her single era, until rumors of a possible relationship with “1975”´s lead singer Matty Healy started rising up in the beginning of May. Healy was spotted at all of her three shows in Nashville, not to mention both musicians whispered the words “This is about you, you know who you are. I love you” between songs at their respective concerts only two days away from each other. Are they confirming the rumors? Is it just a joke? Is there a collaboration coming? Plenty of “swifties” have been asking themselves these questions, yet all we know is that Taylor is thriving and conquering the world with her Eras Tour. And this is just the beginning, as hundreds of admirers wait for the release of international dates and hope their country is visited by our “Miss Americana”.
