Carlos Alcaraz Garfia is a Spanish tennis player, coached by former tennis player Juan Carlos Ferrero. At the moment, he is the number 1 in the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) ranking. This position was reached after winning the 2022 US Open (United States Open Tennis Championships.) his first Major title, on September 11, 2022. Because of this feat, he became the youngest player in history to reach number 1 in the world, at only 19 years old, but the new phenom has already established a victorious career

Alcaraz was born on May 5th of 2003 in El Palmar, Spain. His family is composed of his father Carlos, his mother Virginia and his brothers Álvaro, Sérgio and Jaime. On February 22nd of 2023, Carlos said he isn’t dating anyone currently. Carlos is also known for being fond of other sports, such as golf and soccer.

His first came on July 25th 2021, when Alcaraz won the Umag (Croatian Open), ATP 250. On February 20th 2022 he became one of brazilians’ favorites after winning the Rio Open, ATP 500 at Rio de Janeiro. On April 3rd 2022, he won his first Masters 1000 title at Miami Open.He reached the top 10 in ATP rankings by winning Barcelona Open, ATP 500, on April 24th 2022. When he won his second Masters 1000, in Madrid and reached the 6º place in the world. The last one and most important victory happened on September 11th 2022, when he won his first Grand Slam at the US Open.

In 11 finals in his curriculum, he already has eight trophies, and that’s just the beginning of a very promising career.
