Since the new Superman movie was released in theaters, one character drew attention: Krypto. The white dog is certainly one of the funniest characters in the film, which is making a lot of people get interested in adopting dogs. How and why is this happening? This article will try to answer.

The main cause of this phenomenon is the way the pet was portrayed. In the movie, the animal is a hero, he is intelligent and supports the main character in hard moments. This also shows the animal’s kindness. All these characteristics created a strong affection for the dog, which could influence people’s desire to adopt one.

Another thing that may have affected the way the dog is realistic, Krypto’s movements and personality were based on “Ozu”, James Gunn’s real dog. This inspiration made it possible to write a super powerful dog that is realistic, which creates a link between the dog and the viewers.

In my opinion, this Superman’s side effect is extremely positive, not only because it makes some families bigger, but also encourages adoption alongside the animal sale. Krypto may be fictional, but its impact is totally real and positive.
