Do you know Madonna? It sounds strange to hear this question, as Madonna Louise Ciccone, or simply Madonna, is one of the most famous pop singers in music history. Influencing thousands of people through decades, she catches her fans with her memorable songs, extraordinary performances and her fearless attitude. Raised by an Italian family, the “Queen of Pop” was born on August 16th 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, where she stayed until receiving a proposal to study dance in New York. During that time, she started to get in touch with the artistic world through dancing, modeling, backing vocal and then singing with Sire Records in 1982.

The 80’s for Madonna’s career were the “crème de la crème”! She debuted with her album “Madonna” in 1983 – which contains some of her hits such as “Holiday” and “Borderline”. However, it was with the album “Like a Virgin”, from 1984, that she became the star that we know. I mean… who doesn’t know the song which is the flagship of her LP? “True Blue” (1986), “Early Years” (1989) and “Like a Prayer” (1989) are other examples of albums of the Queen’s “golden decade”.

Talking about the 90’s, things haven’t changed much since then. She kept releasing an incredible set of songs, producing fantastic video clips as well as participating in movies like “Dick Tracy” and “Evita”. Madonna was also known for her position in face of social and political issues. With speeches that wanted to break the society standards, she was always encouraging people to accept their sexuality, women to look forward to empowerment and also fight for the rights of LGBTQIA+ through her songs, clothes, acts and support outside the stages. This is one of the reasons why she’s one of the most memorable pop singers to break social norms.

After 40 years in the music industry, Madonna is celebrating her career by making a world tour called “The Celebration Tour”. Considered as a milestone, this tour represents all of her stages and is her comeback after getting a serious infection. Besides, be prepared for a blast of feelings and excitement, because on May 4th at 9:45 p.m Copacabana Beach in Rio will stop! Madonna is coming! In addition, it is important to highlight that you can see history being made on Multishow, Globoplay or Globo TV.

And if you are like me who is totally into the hustles and bustles, here you are some tips on how to keep safe during the magical moment: do not wear any jewelry, drink lots of water, have a balanced meal during the day, keep your phone in a safe place, try not go alone, and last but not least… sing until the last note and have a whale of a time!
