Kirk was a conservative activist who supported Trump and the Republican Party. He was very famous on the internet, because of his debates on controversial topics, such as abortion and the war between Palestine and Israel, always presenting strong opinions.

Charlie was in Utah, giving a speech about mass shootings in the United States, when he was shot in his neck by twenty-two-year-old Tyler James Robinson, a young sniper. Tyler turned himself in the next day. He was an outspoken liberal who opposed every position Kirk defended.

Even though Kirk was wrong, death is not the right punishment for his behavior. A much more suitable punishment would be sending him to jail or at least prohibiting him from publishing any form of speech on social media.

Charlie’s opinions were definitely dangerous for minorities since his speeches made a lot of people incite hatred against these groups. An example of the dangerous behavior was that Charles was against homosexuals, and influenced a lot of people against them, which is dangerous for them.

Having opposing  ideas to someone does not give anyone permission to end another person’s life.
