Are you a person who loves movies/series?
If your answer is yes, then you will probably love this article.
I will talk about adaptations and which things are different from the original book.
The first one that I will talk about is “The Summer I Turned Pretty”, which is a TV series about a girl named Belly and two brothers Conrad and Jeremiah, the series is a love triangle.
In my opinion, the series is more interesting than the books, even though the books are good as well. The books focus more on Belly’s point of view, while in the series we can see other character’s perspective of the story, making it easier for us to understand them and the way they act. I only read the first book, but there are three books in total. One day I will read the others, even though I didn’t like the first one, but I’ll do it for my love of the series.
Now, let’s talk about the new Disney series “Percy Jackson”. I don’t know if you like Greek mythology, but if you do, you’ll probably love both the book and the series.
There are five books for the main story, which is about a boy called Percy Jackson, who finds out that he is a demi-god and needs to go to the “half-blood-camp”, a place where most of the demi-gods go, However, Percy doesn’t know that his father is Poseidon, only figuring it out later. In the camp, he makes two friends, and together they find out that someone stole Zeus’ belt, just to find out that one of his friends stole it.
The main difference is that in the books the pace of the plot is slower, but in the series the things happened very fast and they had to cut some things.
I really like the series and the cast, and I strongly recommend you to watch it.
