Vampires? Witches? Maybe humans? Or super heroes? Choose one, and the CW will give it to you. But what’s this company? It debuted on September 18, 2006 and was co-owned by Warner Bros, but now its director is Toby Emmerich.

The CW has produced a myriad of movies nominated to the Oscar, such as Barbie, Dune and Batman, and so many famous series like Arrow and Super Girl.

As many broadcast companies, the CW has its ups and downs. Among the movies which are considered as box-office failures we can list Aquaman 2, Justice League directed by Zack Snyder and The Flash. By the way, after a sequence of downfalls, Snyder got the sack.

In 2024, the CW is butting on a new formula for movies as in Joker 2 (or Joker: Folie à Deux) with a musical drama; the first movie was a big step for the CW with a villain drama. So, the company is going to make the biggest bet in history and we are going to see it!
