The year is getting to its end and the celebrations are starting to take place. Tree lights and fireworks are being prepared for a wonderful night. But are you actually enjoying it?
This kind of celebration such as Christmas and New Year’s Eve are getting their meanings forgotten and replaced by consumerisms. People are, instead of spending their time with their families, wasting rivers of money with countless kinds of products. Something that once celebrated the reincarnation of Jesus is now the celebration of the chubby and red dressed guy that delivers presents for the children.
Thankfully, New Year’s Eve still has its celebration of a prosperous year. There are different kinds of ways to represent that, such as yellow clothes for a financially good year, green clothes for a hopeful one and white for a peaceful one. If these celebrations continue to have a capitalist influence, New Year’s eve will turn into a firework competition.
