Have you ever read the book Psycho from Robert Bloch? If you don’t, I strongly recommend you to stop reading my article and start it right now!
Psycho is a fascinating book that catches your attention from the beginning. This book addresses points that are important nowadays, like how the author shows the place of women at the time, through the character Mary Crane, who is a desperate woman that will do everything to marry and build a family.
The book presents the main character Norman Bates, who seems to be a weirdo and atypical guy. He runs a motel with his mother, whose name one does not know until the last pages… So remember my advice, if I were you I would stop reading my article and start it RIGHT NOW!
As pages of Psycho go by, you start to realize important things about Norman and his mother, about their relationship, that isn’t that good, not even a little.
Spoiler alert: just continue reading if you already finished the book, or not, you decide… So, their relationship is troubled, but it is only possible to see that it happens within a single body in the penultimate chapter.
