The end of the first semester of 2025 was marked by a new project by Hideo Kojima. The sequel to Death Stranding was released, and the opinions became the same. Grief has been present in the game since its beginning as you see all characters with their unique stories passing through grief, but they are together.
The game makes the player feel the vibe of losing part of yourself while you are playing. With that in mind Kojima made a collaboration with WoodKid for the soundtrack, songs like “To the Wilder”, “Any Love of any Kind” and “Minus Sixty One” are the main themes of the game.
It is also important to point out the evolution of Sam’s relations with other characters and you can see them as a family. We have, once more, Troy Baker being the villain “Higgs” that robs every scene he appears in and for me, Elle Fanning “Tomorrow” is just too insane to be real, she is absolutely gorgeous and a total badass in all scenes. When you get to the final, you realize that it is all worth it, all the deliveries, all the hard paths you took and difficulties you passed through, you feel immersive while playing, and that is the most important part, you feel like part of his strange family, you feel like the characters.
The game evolved with new mechanics around the proposal of stranding with new ways to move around the world and developing abilities through leveling up. For the graphics, I can assure you that it is the first game in the new generation that really looks like a new generation game. The Decima Engine used by Kojima Productions was elevated to another level for the gaming industry.
