Right after winning Record of the Year with “Not Like Us”, the famous rapper reappeared on stage at 2025 Grammys to claim the award for Song of the year.
His speech honored leading West Coast rap artists like G Malone, as well as his previous labelmates. He also motivated the next generation of rappers to remain true to hip hop’s culture. “I just hope you respect the artform, that’s all. Respect the artform, it’ll get you where you need to go.”
Besides these two rewards mentioned before, they represent just a tiny little part of how many Kendrick has already swept. He has won 22 Grammys Awards throughout his career, making him one of the most awarded rappers in Grammy history.
Awarded in 2015 for his album Damn, becoming the first non-classical or jazz work to receive this honor, the singer holds the record for most wins in the BET Hip Hop Award journey, with a staggering 37 trophies. He has also won an Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) as a headliner of the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, along with other numerous recognitions and achievements.
With a career defined by groundbreaking music, cultural impact and commitment to honoring hip hop’s roots, he remains within a powerful space in the industry.
