Everybody thinks that drugs are only substances that are illicit, like cocaine and weed. However, there are some drugs that are legal like cigarettes that contain nicotine.

But why is nicotine so addictive? Because it triggers the release of dopamine in the brain. So when you smoke one cigarette your body has the urge to use more, and then you can’t stop smoking.

People continue smoking because it’s a habit that relaxes them, so after a hard day a cigarette looks like a good escape. However, the side effects are terrible. The most dangerous are vision loss, risk of cancer and cardiovascular and respiratory problems.
