Imagine that you are on a game night with all of your friends, would you rather play board games or video games? After reading this article, I think you will know which one you would choose.

Playing board games is a scientifically proven way to improve our cognitive skills, which means that while we’re making strategies and learning rules, we are also stimulating our brain connections. It helps us develop our decision-making ability, exercise our memory and enhance our logical reasoning. We also cannot ignore how much it creates a team work environment between the players and strengthens their social relations. The only problem is that you can’t play any board games alone.

Nowadays, video games are the favorite type of entertainment among teenagers. It is a great way of improving the creativity of the gamers and, by chatting with different people around the world, they are able to learn and explore new languages. However, there are a lot of health disadvantages caused by the excess of playing computer games like posture issues, a sedentary lifestyle, sleep disorders and vision problems.

In my opinion, the best alternative is board games because while having fun, you’ve also spending quality time with your friends. I’m sure that even if you lose, you will have a great time. After reading this article, have you already made up your mind?
