Brazilian group together celebrating the silver medal

On Saturday, the 23rd, at Arena Carioca 1, Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian group got the first silver medal in the history of the country on the general group all-around of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships.

The group was formed by Duda Aracaju, Nicole Pircio, Sofia Madeira Pereira, Maria Paula Caminha and Mariana Gonçalves Pinto and they got an average of 55.250 on the competition.

Their participation included three balls, two hoops and five ribbons. The girls were qualified for the apparatus finals.

Japan won first place, with 55.550 as average. Third place was Spain. This medal was really important for Brazil because it was the best position in the story of the country in this competition. It was awesome!
