Do you like donuts? And did you know that there is a special day for them? If you don’t, you’re going to learn it now!

Well, if you haven’t heard about it yet, a donut is a deep-fried pastry, typically sweet, which is usually ring-shaped. It can have all kinds of flavors and colors.

Nowadays, donuts are intentionally known for their tastiness such as police officers and cartoon characters.

The National Donut Day is celebrated on the first Friday of June to honor the Salvation Army who served donuts to soldiers during WWI. In the USA, even famous donuts shops, like Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme offer them for free just to celebrate this unusual occasion.

Now, after reading this article, you do “nut” have any excuse to say something bad about this incredible treat.
