The “Feria del libro” is celebrated in Argentina, Buenos Aires, specifically in “La Rural”.

The event has been organized by “Fundación El Libro” since March of 1975. It’s usually celebrated from April 24th to May 12th and it happens every year.

Literacy fairs are very important because they encourage reading, that is a necessary thing to everyone’s cultural training.

It is very important to help independent writers in their propaganda and also to the editorial market.

Last year (2024), the 48th literary fair of Buenos Aires took place. There were 9,53% fewer people then the year before (2023) and the editorial said that it had 30% to 60% less sales.

Even so the “Feria Internacional del Libro Buenos Aires” still is the biggest cultural event of Argentina and one of the most important in Latin America.
