Live actions are common nowadays because they can bring famous stories in a realistic way, showing to the public some messages that weren’t noticed before.

Live action movies are remakes of classic animations, transforming the stories in real scenarios, using real locations, actors and some computer techniques too, depending on the special effects. But the objective of the ‘live actions’ is to recreate animations, normally the more famous ones, and do a more realistic movie, bringing an important message or lesson at the end about life.
Disney, through the years, has been making many films in that style, bringing to the screens real pictures of many classical movies that marked the childhood of many people. Some examples are: The Jungle Book, Aladdin, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland, 101 Dalmatians, Dumbo, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, and much more.
The most recent ones were “Mufasa: The Lion King” and “Snow White” (this last was released on March 21st).
All these productions end up receiving many critics, sometimes positive, sometimes negative, but always considering the inspiration (the classic animation) as an initial point to start the constructed idea. In these movies, normally new current topics are shown.
But new productions of live actions are coming up! Inspired by “Lilo & Stitch” (2002), the plot is about a little girl called Lilo, who doesn’t have parents and lives with her sister. All she wants is to keep her mom’s tradition and surprise everyone with a traditional dance presentation of Hawaii. But out of the blue, a new and atypical friend appears in her life: an extraterrestrial creature that came to Earth after scraping the galactic prison. Lilo and Stitch become inseparable friends through the story, and the movie shows the real meaning of FAMILY. Well, the live action creation released in the cinemas on May 23rd of this year.
Another live-action that has been announced recently is “How to Train Your Dragon”, an incredible series of three animations, and now the real-actors production is going to be released on June 13th (in the United States).
Other animations that have been thought of by Disney, for example, are: Bambi, Hercules, The Aristocats and Moana.
