As most of you know, Lollapalooza is a music festival which occurs every year, but how about knowing more about it?
As a starter, its first edition took place in 1991 in the US, but it just came to Brazil in 2012. But, as most people wonder, how did it start? Who invented it?
So, as mentioned it was created in the USA, but originally, it wasn’t meant to be a music festival. At first it was supposed to be the farewell tour of Jane’s Addiction, a band in which Perry Farrell was the vocalist. This man was the one who conceived the event, which later, became the huge and loved music festival it is nowadays.
Now this famous event, celebrating alternative music, rock, punk and other music genres in Brazil, occurs in São Paulo. This year, the festival brought to stage incredible artists, such as: Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Timberlake, Alanis Morissette and Shawn Mendes, as headliners and still Empire of the Sun, Tate McRae, Jão and Tropkillaz.
Now, before going there, it is common to ask about the logistics. As a whole it is very good. Organized lines for drinks, good accessibility to public transport, high spots to better view the performances and mixed line up, but as with most things in life, there are its pros and cons. There is a huge lack of covered areas against sun and rain, mud, as it is an open space there is sound interference of the other stages.
All of this may cause controversies to the public, but what’s your opinion about it? And most importantly, with all of this information, will you guarantee your tickets next year for this amazing event?
