Have you ever thought about what happens behind the scenes of your favorite TV show? Daniel James Schneider is a famous television producer, screenwriter and actor. He was responsible for directing most of Nickelodeon’s children’s shows, like Drake & Josh, Sam & Cat, Game Shakers, Zoey 101, The Amanda’s Show, etc.

In 2018, Dan was dismissed after being accused for sexual assault. His accusations went public after Jennette McCurdy, who was one of the protagonists in Sam & Cat, reported him in one of her most recent publications. Her allegations referred to misconduct and abuse during his work at the children’s cable network, where he promoted a “maddening, disgusting controlling little bubble”.

During his work on Nickelodeon, people that surrounded him felt vulnerable inside the toxic sets. Dan acted weird, ordered people to do awkward things and was really mean to his workers when they didn’t do what he commanded. He asked his employees to do embarrassing actions, like: “dance for us”, “shout that you’re an idiot”, etc. His relationships with the young actors seemed pretty nice. He was touchy, kind and always made sure that they could trust him, but when he felt disrespected, he would overreact.

We are now glad that the victims have already told the world about everything they suffered. Dan apologized, but us writers do not believe that any apologies will be useful for his reputation. He made enormous mistakes that will never be forgotten.
