The United States president Donald Trump has announced new tariffs increasing from 10% to 41% on 71 countries coming into effect on August 7. Trump had already warned that countries who don’t reach a deal with the U.S until August 1st would be subjected to higher taxes.

The question is, where does Brazil stand in this fare hike? And the answer is: on top! Of all 71 nations, Brazil has the most expensive tariffs, at 50% totally. It will impact mostly the working class, the increasing of the prices of basic products such as nuts, coffee, sugar and more.

Other nations retorted this increase by threatening a commercial war (China) or announcing decisions (Canada), but the majority hasn’t expressed themselves publicly yet.
