Founded in 1946, the Cannes Film Festival receives directors, actors, actresses, producers, film professionals and celebrities from all around the world in Cannes, France. The aim of the festival is to bring debates about cinema, understanding what is being produced around the world, promoting the exchange of experiences in the cinematography environment and to reward the best in cinema.

This festival is more democratic than the Oscar, because it gathers cinematographic works from all around the world and also exhibits and awards works from students of cinema.

Cannes is the most publicized cultural event on the planet and, because of that, during the days in which it is carried out, it mobilizes people from all over the world, not only in France, making everybody interested in the seventh art.
