The Olympic Games are over, but it left a legacy of values such as friendship, respect and excellence. It could not be different since the main goal of this event is to contribute to the union of all nations on this planet through the sport.

Set in one of the most beautiful and iconic cities of the world, Paris dressed beautifully to welcome athletes and visitors from all over the Earth. Since 2017, the city has worked hand in hand with partners to show that an event of this size can be sustainable. It is not about imagining that the world can be changed in 4 weeks, but to produce a tangible impact at a local level that goes far beyond 2024 across France.

This year’s Olympics were the first in the modern era to be 100% sustainable, adopting a policy of reducing carbon emissions by half, compared to London 2012 and Brazil 2016. In addition, more than 150,000 jobs were created, boosting economic activity and social progress renovation, and with installation and renovation of 5,000 local sports facilities, the games are transforming the daily lives of the communities.

Other sports were introduced, such as breaking, which is an urban dance style, and kayak cross, known as freestyle canoeing, which aims to diversify the Olympic sports and attract a younger audience, also promoting inclusion.

The athletes, who showed us examples of overcoming, focus and dedication, teamwork and a series of other behavioral skills, which when analysed and put into practice in our daily lives, can make a difference in the work and results of teams and companies.

May the Paris’ Olympics have been a moment to reflect on the importance of welcoming and supporting refugees and may the athletes’ journey fill us with hope and determination to build a more fair and inclusive world.
