How would you feel knowing an artificial intelligence operating robot had just performed a surgery on you? Well, that is very likely to happen in the future. Artificial intelligence makes the lives of patients and doctors easier by decreasing time and costing less.

How can AI help in medicine? Artificial Intelligences are changing medicine in lots of ways. It can find new connections between genetic links, improve medical diagnosis, perform robotic surgery, speed up drug discovery and virtual health assistance. On the other hand, people are concerned about some aspects of AI in healthcare such as access to patients’ data and the data quality.

Recent studies have shown that AI can reduce medical errors by 30% and reduce costs by 50%. Artificial Intelligence is also able to monitor real time initial signs to predict complications.

In conclusion, I suggest you to watch Unnatural Selection, a documentary about the advances in technology and AI that are transforming human biology and medicine.
