The Paris 2024 Olympics will gather 48 modalities such as soccer, rugby, swimming, table tennis and skateboarding.

Surfing, for example, will not be played in Paris because the city does not have any beaches. Surfing will take place on Tahiti, an island in French Polynesia, situated in the Pacific Ocean.

At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (even though it took place in 2021, it is still considered the 2020 Olympics), skating and surfing were included as new modalites, while in this year’s edition, breakdance and extreme canoe-Kayak slalom are the additions.

In 2024, more than 200 countries and over 10.000 competitors will compete. However, the athletes for Russia and Belarus, won’t participate at the opening ceremony, because of the Ukraine war. In my opinion that is wrong, because the athletes shouldn’t pay for their president’s mistakes.

Brazil’s soccer team was disqualified after being defeated by Argentina. So they’re not going to the olympics. Sad news for us, isn’t it?
