George Foreman was born on the tenth of January of 1949, in the United States, in a very poor family that barely had enough money to eat. However, when he was 16 years old, he moved to California to join the Job Corps.
The Job Corps was a project made by president Lyndon B. Johnson to help disadvantaged kids.
At Job Corps, George trained boxing for the first time and he trained so well that he won the 1968 Olympic Games and entered the boxing Hall of Fame.
After that he became the heavyweight champion of the world in 1873, after knocking out Joe Frazier, who was defending the title. However, his career would suffer a dark turn after losing the “Rumble in the Jungle” against Muhammad Ali. He entered a terrible losing streak and retired, but not for the reason you think. After losing to Jimmy Young, in 1977, he found God in the locker room and started to preach.
But that is only the first part, so if you liked it go find out more about the greatest boxer of all time!
